Donations

We appreciate all donations from private citizens, business or corporate donors. Our refurbishing centre is prepared to accept any number of contributions large or small and we are able to prepare and process all equipment received, quickly and efficiently, to facilitate delivery to the intended recipients as soon as possible.

Acceptable Donations

There is a high demand for the following recyclable items:

Pentium 200 or higher computers, notebooks/laptops and monitors

Laser printers, fax machines and scanners

Sound cards, speakers, modems and Ethernet cards

Routers and cabling

Desks, tables and chairs

Computers For Kids volunteers will pick up your donations, no matter where you live in Essex County. They can also be dropped off at the Sandwich Teen Action Group (4150 Sandwich St., Windsor) between the hours of 9:00 am and 5:00 pm at our refurbishing centre. We can also be reached by phone at (519) 253-KIDS (5347).

Our promise to Donors:

All drives will be sanitized of all previous data,

Best efforts will be made to utilize the computers in the municipality from which is was received

Any equipment or components contributed to Computers for Kids that can't be distributed, will be recycled in an appropriate fashion. All proceeds from this activity will be put into the Computers for Kids program to fulfill it's mission.

All donations will be used for the benefit of our young people and their families.

Computers and peripherals will be distributed fairly by decision of a committee for that purpose.
